(“scaleMatters”) takes data privacy seriously.  This privacy policy (“Privacy Policy”) covers scaleMatters’ treatment of personally identifiable information (“Personal Information”) that you submit, or scaleMatters otherwise collects, as a result of you accessing our website, the scaleMatters pages on social media sites or using the scaleMatters platform accessible through the platform URL: app.scalematters.com (“Services”).

Personal Information means any information that identifies or relates to a particular individual.

 

2. How We Collect Personal Information

The Personal Information we collect may be sourced by:

  • You:
    • When you provide such information directly to us, or
    • When Personal Information about you is automatically collected in connection with your use of the Services

    • Service Providers: scaleMatters Services link to other services such as Gmail and Salesforce in order to provide the Services.  scaleMatters does not access Personal Information from these services without your consent or the consent of your company, such consent which is implicitly granted by your use of the Services or your company’s use of the Services.
    • Promotional Partners: scaleMatters may collect Personal Information about you through the use of database services such as ZoomInfo in order to market and promote our Services to you.



3. Who We Collect Personal Information About

We collect Personal Information on five types of individuals:

  1. Visitors to our website and social media pages;
  2. Users of our platform;
  3. Employees of our customers who are responsible for paying Us;
  4. Employees of our customers who are salespeople or sales development representatives; and
  5. Individuals who we consider to be prospective customers.

  • For Users of our platform

    2. We collect this information so we can provide you with access to the Services and support regarding the Services.

 

  • For employees of our customers who are responsible for paying us
    1. We collect your name, email address, phone number and your organization’s billing address.
    2. We collect this information so we can invoice our customers and communicate with you regarding any billing issues.

 

  • For employees of our customers who are salespeople or sales development representatives
    1. We collect your name.
    2. We collect this information with the consent of your company (i.e. our customer) in order to provide the Services.

 

  • For individuals who we consider to be prospective customers
    1. We may collect your name, email address, phone number, company affiliation, title and IP address.
    2. We collect this information so that we may communicate information about or related to our Services to you which we consider relevant to you.

 

Log Data

When you use our Services, we collect information that your browser sends to us that is called Log Data. This Log Data may include information such as your computer’s Internet Protocol ("IP") address, browser version, pages of our Services that you visit, the time and date of your visit, the time spent on those pages, and other statistics.

Cookies

8. THIRD-PARTY CONTENT, LINKS, AND PLUG-INS

The Services may provide links to third-party websites. Please be aware that this Policy applies only to Services provided by scaleMatters, Inc. We recommend that you review the privacy and security policies of each website you visit before providing any personal information.

The Services may also offer you the ability to interact with social plugins from social media sites, which may allow us and the social media site to receive data from or about you. Under certain circumstances, we may know that you clicked on a social plugin, such as a Twitter Follow button, or receive other information from the social media sites. Similarly, if you have previously provided personal information to a third party operating a plug-in on the Services, then such third party may recognize you on our Services. Your use of social network plugins is subject to each social media site’s privacy policy, which may be different from ours, so please read these policies carefully to understand their policies and your options. Our services do not address anyone under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal identifiable information from children under 16. In the event we discover that a child under 16 has provided us with personal information, we immediately delete it from our servers. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so that we will be able to do necessary actions.

scaleMatters may provide goods and services to customers globally and we, or our service providers, may process, transfer, and store information on servers located in numerous countries, including the United States, and in some of these locations, data protection laws may be less stringent than those in the EEA (European Economic Area) or other locations that provide similar data protection safeguards. To ensure that your data is protected, we transfer your data subject to reasonable safeguards being in place.

We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page. These changes are effective immediately, after they are posted on this page.
